WAKWHS 2- words to ‘magpie’

Posted by on March 17, 2015

Hello Churchill Class!

Some great story opening ideas today.  You worked well- I was very proud!:-)

The hardest part was finding exactly the right word to describe.  Some of the words we used most need replacing.  Can you find some more powerful ways to describe the following things?  You may not need them in your work but you might be able to magpie someone else’s ideas.  Can we build our own class thesaurus, I wonder?

Can you find words to describe:

Noise, music, the people in the crowd, pleasant or unpleasant smells, temperature?

Some of my favourites so far from  marking today’s work:

unsightly,breath-taking, blissful, passionate, humid, blazing, gnawing
